This policy explains what information CrimeGuesser processes when you use the site. We aim to collect as little as possible.

What we process

• Local browser storage — progress, scores, and daily run state may be saved in your browser (localStorage) so games work without an account. You can clear this in your browser settings.
• Technical data — when you visit the site, standard server or hosting logs (e.g. IP address, user agent, time of request) may be processed by our infrastructure provider to deliver the service and maintain security.

We do not require registration and do not ask for your name, email, or payment details to play.

Purpose & legal basis

Data is used to run the games, remember your local progress, keep the site secure, and fund the site through advertising. Where EU law applies, processing is based on legitimate interest in operating the service and, where applicable, your consent for optional features such as personalized advertising cookies.

Cookies & advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads on CrimeGuesser. Google and its advertising partners may set cookies or use similar technologies when you visit or interact with the site.

• Advertising cookies — used to deliver ads, measure how ads perform, and limit how often you see the same ad.
• Personalized ads — Google may use cookies to show ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites. You can turn off personalized advertising in Google's Ads Settings.

Third-party content

Storage duration

Local game data stays on your device until you delete it or until your browser clears site data. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for operation and security.

Your rights

Children

CrimeGuesser is not directed at children under 16. Content deals with crime themes intended for a mature audience.
